Now in its fourth year, Ray White has again joined forces with Ronald McDonald House in this charitable initiative to try to put a smile on as many children’s faces as possible this festive season.

Ray White Damerell Group is asking Aucklanders to dig deep for children in their community who need it most at this time of year, says director, Simon Damerell.

“All you need to do is wrap up your present and drop it under the tree at either our Ponsonby office (259 Ponsonby Road), or our Grey Lynn office (422 Richmond Road),” he says. “We have a special giving tree in our front window, under which we will put all the gifts for the children and families who will be spending their Christmas in Ronald McDonald house away from home.”

“It’s a really simple way to put a smile on the face of a young child who might otherwise miss out this Christmas,” says Simon

Those who wish to donate a gift just need to let the Ray White team know if the gift is for a boy or girl, and nominate an age group. Our team will then ensure the gift is delivered to Ronald McDonald House to help cheer up the kids this Christmas. Just a small gift can make the biggest difference to families who are doing it tough at an expensive time of year.

Established in 1989, Ronald McDonald House helps families who are away from home with a hospitalised child, by providing free accommodation and support services. Most importantly Ronald McDonald House ensures these families can remain together so that they will be better placed to cope and help their children heal says Lena Pfitzner, Corporate Partnership Officer at Ronald McDonald House.

“This year, we will help around 420 families nationwide,” says Pfitzner. “All the gifts collected by Ray White Ponsonby will be delivered to Auckland’s Ronald McDonald House, where they will be distributed to the families who are staying with us over the Christmas period.

“We are all so grateful to the individual communities for their gifts, and also to how much effort everyone from Ray White puts in each year – we couldn’t do it without their help,”

Ray White has been running the Little Ray of Giving initiative in New Zealand and Australia each December since 2012. Last year nearly 300 offices, across both countries, helped collect 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families – almost double the number of the previous year.

Please join us this year to make 2016 even bigger and even better!
