Towering Success

Scope Strata Management is delighted to announce that it has won the contract to manage Seascape; a state-of-the-art building that is set to become New Zealand’s tallest residential tower.

In doing so, Scope Strata has firmly established itself as the premium strata management company in the city of Auckland.

Standing 187 metres high, Seascape will stand out as a magnificent sculptural addition to the Auckland Skyline. Combining retail and office space as well as residential living the striking design, with its angular glass facade and lattice mega-brace, is the product of a collaboration between developers, Shundi and Peddle Thorp Architects. As its name suggests, the building has been designed to make the most of its waterfront site. Every apartment in the building will be north facing and have floor-to-ceiling glass, with great views out to the Waitemata harbour.

Steve Plummer, Managing Director of Scope Strata Management, says he and his team are relishing the opportunity to establish the management systems required to administer this prestigious building, and that engagement for Seascape comes on the heels of Scope Strata’s appointment to several other major residential and commercial developments currently underway across Auckland.

“Our experienced team is well versed in what is required to run these high-end properties, which includes knowledge gained from managing a number of Auckland’s most prestigious residential towers, including The Metropolis. I certainly feel this was one of the primary reasons we were chosen for Seascape,” he says.

Plummer says that he is pleased that the developer has asked his team to be involved with the planning of the building from the outset. “Currently, this development is establishing its foundations, but because we have been engaged at this very early stage, we are able to build robust management systems and set up the processes required for unit titles. And, further down the line, we will help our client transition the project from a building site into a fully functional residential tower, within its own body corporate structure.”

Seascape is due for completion in 2021.
